Germantown, TN--January 18, 2022--DES fourth graders jumped into Survivor Day as a fun way to finish up the study on the book Hatchet. Students wore their camo and took to the "woods" in Dogwood park to make shelter out of sticks and see if they could survive the elements like the character from their book. Ms. Perry and Ms. Zaravar helped guide students through the end of this study with the use of their compass and guidebooks.
