Germantown, Tennessee-- March 7, 2022--
Reading fun books and seeing them come to life with fun activities in the classroom is how Dogwood’s kindergarten jumped into Read Across America Week. One, Fish, Two Fish was celebrated with math graphs and goldfish crackers. Wacky Wednesday was a fun classroom scavenger hunt to find everything wacky. A Suess Juice tea party and even descriptive writing about their crazy socks.
The school librarian, Mrs. McIntyre, has a whole month of reading fun planned for the school. Caught reading prizes, virtual reader visits, book character dress up day, and teacher swaps are just a few. There is so much more reading to be done at DES for National Reading Month.
