Germantown, TN--March 8, 2022-- It is Concert Festival time for students and faculty in local music programs this week. Band and orchestra students alike have been rehearsing diligently in preparing for this competition showcase this week. Music groups perform their prepared repertoire and sightread new material for seasoned judges to earn feedback and a score on their musical performance. Riverdale Orchestra and Band received straight Excellent marks for their performance. Houston High School's Orchestra, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble also received perfect scores from all judges. Houston Middle School received the ASBDA Award of Distinction under Conductor and Teacher of the Year Spencer Nesvick. He says he is "So proud of these kids and they have so much to be proud of." Congratulations to all the performers and educators involved.
