Germantown, Tennessee--March 23, 2022-- Houston High students took a field trip to the Local Steamfitters Union in Arlington to learn more about welding as a career. The students learned about the five-year welding and HVAC apprenticeship as a possible career path. Through meeting and connecting with current welders, students eyes are opened to new first-hand experiences and see a real-world working environment. Houston High School and GMSD support all kinds of post-secondary education and want to offer all kinds of opportunities to learn about the various options in the workforce.
