Germantown, Tennessee--March 31, 2022--Dogwood's new 3D printer got a test run this week. Joelle Dodge was granted three printers through the Germantown Education Foundation. The one pictured above has lovingly been nicknamed "Crafty".
A second grader created a design using the TinkerCad program. After one failed attempt and some changes, the second design was printed again in the hallway for all students to see. Her classmates enjoyed seeing the machine in action. These printers will be used to bring STEM and engineering standards to life for students.
Dogwood has ideas for several projects that students will take part in. Mrs. Dodge said, "I love seeing the excitement in the students' faces as a 2D idea becomes real!"
