Student Spotlight: Lillian Jiang Ice Skater Student Spotlight: Lillian Jiang HMS Ice Skater Student Spotlight: Lillian Jiang HMS Ice Skater Show Transcript hello I will Ian down and I love figure skating competition for figure skating I was in was in Nashville and it was very very exciting and also kind of nerve-wracking because it was my first competition but it was an overall great experience I wasn't disappointed but I wasn't hope all the way happy leaving it but it was a great first experience ice skating a lot more challenging than it looks because when figure skaters in international competition all their jumps and Spins part of their grade is to look effortless and when people don't make it look after they get points taken off for it so the experience with kind it would be kind of like if you were a right-hander and third writing with your left hand or your left hand or interfering with your right hand because I knew how to do all the things and what they look like but I didn't have exactly the correct technique for everything I was supposed to my favorite job probably the toe loop it's my favorite jealous because my coach says I'm almost ready to do the triple and I've been practicing at for the Triple and all the other job I'm kind of like still hesitate to do and still struggling when I'm going into it but the total is that you'll so smooth if you'll so consistent and it feels so great doing it Published May 31, 2023 Print
