December 2023 - Houston Middle School has something extra special to celebrate this holiday season. The Mustangs of HMS Swim had a great end to the year with huge victories at the Shelby County Swim League final meet of 2023-2024 season.
On December 9, the Mustangs competed in the Large School Division alongside competitors like Lakeland Prep, St. George’s Middle, and Collierville Middle School. The meet saw 183 swimmers bring their very best, and ultimately, the Mustangs had incredible results.
The boys of Houston Middle swim won first place, while the girls team won second place overall! Two Mustangs had amazing standout performances. Sixth grade girl, Emma Scoggin and 8th grade boy, Luke Cole, won first place in every event they swam! We are so proud of these athletes and their accomplishments. Go Mustangs!
