Community Partnership Highlight: Big League Movers Supports GMSD Educators

When community partners step up to help educators, amazing things are bound to happen. This is exemplified by Big League Movers & Storage and their "Labor of Love" program.

Big League Movers & Storage has been a tremendous support to our GMSD educators, offering complimentary moving services to elementary teachers and principals. Their initiative aims to ease the workload of our educators, allowing them to focus more on what truly matters – preparing for the upcoming school year.

This past May, Big League Movers provided invaluable assistance to six local elementary schools. Their dedicated teams helped with end-of-year classroom transitions, repositioning furniture, and ensuring classrooms were ready for the next academic chapter. This support made a significant difference in the smooth transition between school years.

“The impact that our community partners have on our GMSD schools is something truly remarkable. The support we witness from businesses, such as Big League Movers, elevates our Germantown community to being one of the best in Tennessee. Our community rallies around our schools to ensure they are successful and supported,” states GMSD’s Coordinated School Health Supervisor, Andrew Martin.

As we look forward to the new school year, Big League Movers remains committed to supporting Farmington, Forest Hill, Dogwood, and Riverdale. Teachers and principals interested in the Labor of Love program can reach out to Christie Jones at [email protected] to arrange for moving services.

This generous support from Big League Movers & Storage exemplifies the strong community spirit that makes Germantown special. We are grateful for their continued dedication to our schools and educators.
