These students have demonstrated academic excellence and are among the top-performing high school seniors nationwide, representing less than 1% of U.S. seniors who entered the competition.
The National Merit Scholarship Program honors students based on their performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Semifinalists will now have the opportunity to compete for National Merit Scholarships by submitting further applications, showcasing their academic and extracurricular achievements.
