This week, Germantown Municipal School District (GMSD) is celebrating the invaluable contributions of its school psychologists, who play a pivotal role in supporting students’ academic, behavioral, and mental well-being.
School psychologists are highly trained professionals, completing over 60 graduate credit hours and a 1,200-hour internship to become experts in their field. Their work encompasses a wide range of services, including special education support, behavioral interventions, mental health assistance, and academic guidance.
“These professionals are integral to creating a positive learning environment where every student can succeed,” said GMSD Superintendent Jason Manuel. “Their expertise ensures our students have the resources and support they need to thrive academically and personally.”
By utilizing data collection, assessment, and progress monitoring, school psychologists collaborate with educators and parents to develop individualized strategies tailored to each student’s unique needs. Their efforts ensure that every child, regardless of circumstance, has the opportunity to excel.
GMSD extends its heartfelt gratitude to these dedicated professionals for their exceptional work in fostering a supportive and inclusive school community.
