Houston High Celebrates First-Ever “Seniors with Seniors” Event

The Class of 2025 at Houston High School celebrated family and community with the inaugural "Seniors with Seniors" event. Students brought their grandparents or other cherished adult figures to enjoy coffee and donuts before the start of the school day.

Held at Grace Evangelical Church, the gathering featured warm connections and sweet treats provided by Donut Hutt. Interim Counselor Fran Parham, who organized the event, expressed gratitude to the community partners who made the morning possible.

“This was such a special way to bring our students and their families together,” Parham said. “The smiles and conversations made it clear how much this meant to everyone involved.”

The morning marked the beginning of an eventful day for Houston High, as both the varsity volleyball and girls soccer teams competed in state playoffs. Meanwhile, the first of two vibrant Creative Crosswalks, aimed at enhancing safety and school spirit, was installed on campus.
