On Monday, November 18th, Forest Hill Elementary School had the privilege of hosting Julia Cook—an acclaimed author, former teacher, and school counselor—for a special event that engaged and educated students on valuable life lessons.
Julia Cook, a celebrated children’s author, is renowned for her ability to engage young readers with lighthearted yet educational stories that help them navigate real-life challenges. With a background in teaching and counseling, Cook’s books are uniquely crafted to address everyday issues faced by children, such as managing emotions, forming healthy relationships, and making positive choices. Her works have earned numerous accolades, including the Association for Educational Publishers Distinguished Achievement Award and recognition from The National Parenting Center, Mom’s Choice Awards, and Teachers’ Choice Awards.
During her visit, Julia Cook read from her popular books, shared engaging visuals, and used personal anecdotes to bring important lessons to life.
