TCAP Family Portal
We are eagerly anticipating the release of TCAP score reports, which will be made available to us and to parents by the Tennessee Department of Education on July 14, 2023. We want to highlight an invaluable resource provided by the department: the TCAP Family Portal. This online tool is specifically designed to offer families valuable insights into their students' strengths and areas for improvement, based on state assessments.
The TCAP Family Portal is a free online tool designed to provide families with insights into their students' strengths and areas for improvement based on state assessments. This resource includes the following key features:
- TCAP scale scores and performance levels by subject
- Test history to track progress over time
- Links to Parent Guides
- Next-step recommendations
Visiting the TCAP Family Portal is optional, and printed individual student reports will be available through GMSD schools when students return from the summer break. The Tennessee Department of Education premiered a number of new improvements to the score reports last year, including personalized recommendations for students, based on valuable parent feedback.
To access the TCAP Family Portal, please register at familyreport.tnedu.gov. When TCAP scores are released, the data will be uploaded to the portal. Parents of students who participated in the TCAP [or EOC assessments] should be able create an account using the student's USID number, which is a 7-digit state ID number preceded by two leading zeros. You can find the student's USID number in your Skyward Family Access Portfolio—similar to how you locate report cards, progress reports, etc.
