Board Service
There are five members of the Germantown Board of Education, each elected at-large to serve staggered four-year terms. Officers are elected by the members of the Germantown Board of Education. Candidates to the Board of Education must conform to the eligibility requirements of the Tennessee Election Code.
Meeting Information
Regular meetings of the Germantown Board of Education are held each month at the Germantown Municipal School District Office Building (3350 Forest Hill Irene Road, Germantown, TN 38138) beginning at 5:30 p.m. during work sessions and 6:00 p.m. during business meetings unless scheduled otherwise.
Email correspondence sent to the entire Germantown Board of Education may be forwarded to appropriate District administrative leadership for a response or the Germantown Board of Education Chairman.
PLEASE NOTE: All e-mails sent the Germantown Board of Education are subject to the Public Information Act (Open Records), and the District may be required to release any e-mail correspondence with the Board.

Public Comment (Citizens to Be Heard) Procedure
Members of the public who desire to speak at the GMSD Regular Business Meeting shall submit a "Public Comment Form" to the Board Secretary before the beginning of the Regular Business Meeting. Public Comment Forms shall be made available to the public in the lobby outside the Board Meeting Room, immediately prior to the to the commencement of the Regular Business Meeting. (Delegations must select only one [1] individual to speak on their behalf unless otherwise determined by the Board.)
